Dear Friends of our Monastery,

at the suggestion of friends and visitors of our website we want to offer the possibility to support our monastery by way of an online donation. The majority of you know already - and our homepage illuminates this from many sides - that we live, according to the Rule of St. Benedict, "by the labor of our hands". Our businesses and ateliers provide the income to cover the costs for what we need to live our everyday lives: for our community, for the repair and maintenance of the buildings of our monastic complex which stand under historical preservation regulations as well as for the social and charitable projects which we support in our country and in the world. You can imagine that this is not always easy in this time of economic tension.

We are, therefore, dependant on the assistance of friends and benefactors for larger projects. We are aware that we can only repay you for your kindness by way of our intercessory prayers. On the other hand we often experience, through the people who come to us, that perhaps it is exactly that, our prayer, which the world today most urgently needs.
